See Creation with fresh eyes

Genesis opens with the Earth formless and empty, with darkness over the deep. Picture a lifeless planet covered by a seemingly endless ocean. There are no shores, no trees, and no birdsong. Then, over that dark expanse, God speaks, and light comes into being.

As the seven days of Creation unfold, God gathers the waters and brings dry land into view. Grasses, seed-bearing plants, and trees begin to flourish. The seas teem with life, and birds take wing. The Earth becomes a living gem in the Universe, beautiful in its variety and alive with movement, from the quiet growth of a seed to the sweep of a bird across the sky.
