the Earth from dangerous space radiation.  The sky also provided a canvas for the beautiful displays of sunsets and sunrises that would bring joy to all living creatures on Earth.

With the completion of the sky, God had set the stage for the next great phase of Creation, preparing the Earth to be filled with life.  He fashioned a magnificent watery shield to envelop the planet, complete with its life-sustaining atmosphere, establishing the perfect conditions for the vast abundance of living creatures He would soon bring forth to flourish upon the “Living Planet” — Earth, His new miracle of Creation.

When God had finished crafting the atmosphere and placing it above the Earth, He called the expanse “Sky.”

And there was evening, and there was morning — the second day, marking the completion of God’s

spectacular and awe-inspiring work of Creation for that day.

This section is based on and includes quotes from Genesis chapter 1; verses 6-8.

Genesis 1 : 6 - 8

6 Then God said, “Let there be an expanse between the waters to separate water from water.”  7  So God made the expanse and separated the water under the expanse from the water above the expanse.  And it was so.  8  God called the expanse “Sky”.

And there was evening, and there was morning—the second day.

The Third Day of Creation:
God Separates the Land and Sea

Command and Chaos

On the third day of Creation, God established the boundaries between the land and the sea. Before this, the Earth’s surface was covered by water. God separated the seas and created land to establish a diverse and dynamic environment for living creatures. The formation of land allowed for plants to grow and animals to roam, establishing a balance between land and sea.

God declared, “Let the waters under the sky be gathered to one place, and let dry ground appear.”

At His command, the whole Earth immediately responded with violent upheaval.  God used His immense power to totally transform the Earth, bringing about a complete change across the planet.
